Elevate Your Business/Leadership
Dr. Nicole Pfeffermann is a strategic leadership business partner to design and deliver customized development experiences for business leaders and change makers. Nicole's research and business interests are strategy, growth and innovation. From making a difference to prioritizing wellbeing in human-centric organizations, business leaders and change makers work with her to see with new eyes and (co)create a valuable future.
Leadership Trend
Business leaders and change makers need to effectively communicate their (visionary) ideas to create a company's future. Both the law of diffusion and activation or modification of knowledge schemata help them to better communicate the new. From a practical perspective methods, such as storytelling, framing, and personalization, and tools (e.g. platforms, events, showrooms) define their individual toolbox of innovation communication. Building trust in innovation and communicating for innovation are thereby two main goals for success. Furthermore, three cutting-edge themes in 2025 are co-imagination, communication spaces and aspiration-driven dialogues related to innovation engagement, innovation and leadership culture and co-creation.
It is important nowadays to link innovation communication to leadership & strategy, beyond CEO communication and strategy communication. For instance, brilliant leaders focus on the new innovation-communication view and human (self)leaders use reflective innovation dialogue as a method to better understand prevention-focused individuals and create a common ground for innovation. In the future business leaders and change makers need to be ready for creation and reaching a new level of innovation communication. But reaching this new level of impact requires a commitment to invest in innovation communication--a people-centric focus not only a function-centric focus (corporate communication/PR/agency-based campaigns). For instance, one task is to better link business development to HR, innovation to people, to make a difference.
The purpose of innovation communication is to enlarge the growth zone of an individual and business (learning model/continuous learning). With a CICO (Chief Innovation Communicaction Officer), who is responsible for evolving systems and helping people to connect, reflect and be-do their best, a company can better commit to make the world a better place, spark new ideas and co-create a valuable future.
The French Way
Innovation communication is an attitude. It is part of culture and substance, passion and intelligence are essential to effectively communicate ideas. After my years of study in France I concentrate my work also on the art of conversation/debate, presence and genuine connections... dare to refine!
Selfcare. Be You.
Making yourself a priority is an act of self-love. To be happy and be your best is not only a commitment it includes to take action: (1) Creating space for what truly matters, (2) taking care of yourself physically, emotionally and mentally, and (3) not allowing just anybody into your life... invest in yourself!
About Me
I am specialized in strategy/innovation, leadership and innovation communication, more precisely in linking innovation communication to new / self / thought leadership. Based on my scientific, qualitative and interdisciplinary background I define innovation communication as a dynamic capability from a strategic management perspective and understand innovation-communication as a new view for leadership development. I was a lecturer (BA/MBA/PhD students) in digital business, information and knowledge management and methodologies, co-edited books with inspiring co-authors and presented my work (Daimler Innovation Day).
I started my professional path in marketing/market research (Vorwerk & Co., Wuppertal) and corporate communication (Beiersdorf, Hamburg) and worked for clients in strategic management and digital-driven innovation management, for instance, a BMWi-project 'Innovation Communication for Scientific Institutions' and Deutsche Post/DHL-project 'Business Plan for a Robotic Solution'. My entrepreneurial engagement: I developed my first business idea when I was at school, presented my digital marketplace platform idea at the first Internet World 1999, Berlin, and was a member of the Microsoft Bizspark Program and further presented my solution at CeBIT.
Those experiences and my intercultural work experiences led to the new business idea Dr. Nicole Pfeffermann. The mission is: Let's elevate businesses and leadership together and become great human (self)leaders. Human (self)leadership is the next step in leadership development and includes mindful communication, reflective innovation dialogues and an enriching and enjoyable journey to fulfillment and inner peace/calmness including being centered, maintaining dignity and responding thoughtfully.
I received a PhD in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from the University of Bremen, Deutsche Post/DHL scholarship in an international PhD program, and I also received a diploma in Business Economics from the University of Wuppertal. I was visiting scholar at UCLA Anderson School of Management, US and GREDEG CNRS, France. I also worked with scholars from the University of Cambridge, INSEAD and SUNY Empire University.
I attended 3 workshops and was impressed by all of them. The way Dr. Nicole Pfeffermann approaches the topics and guide through the workshop is professional, competent and the same time really enthusiastic.
She always behaves professionally, communicates her ideas clearly, also effectively in writing, and her comments are well thought out and clearly articulated. The output was professional as well as valuable for our decision-making.
